I was also using newspapers only with the intention to improve vocabulary and develop better writing.Now we have gone past that stage, the reliance on newspapers have come down, and we are exposed to the glut of information thru various sources.

Something spicey on Octuplet stuff you mentioned, which I came to know when I read it in the internet and not in newspaper. It is an indication of the changed times, since reliance on newspapers have come down.

The news on Octuplet , is more interesting than we could imagine.

This American lady Nadya Suleiman is unmarried / Unemployed and already has 6 children. All the 14 are born out of artificial fertilisation using donor sperm provided by a friend.

Because of this ,US govt has allocated a part of fiscal stimulus to provide right physical stimulus (??) to her to take care of those children and herself . ( Just Kidding…)

Talking about newspapers i always find Tamil news papers used for the purpose of wrapping a better read than a live news papers.

By the way is there a word for these kind of newspapers, if not can we coin one.
I shall start with “News Wrappers”
